Client stories

Every one of these started as a room and a conversation.

Not a wall of photos. Here is what each client was working with, what we decided together, and what actually went in. Find the one that sounds like your celebration.

01

Corporate celebration

A hallway nobody expected to walk through.

Custom Event DesignSilver chrome and pearl

The brief was a photo moment for a company milestone, in a building with nothing to hang from and a lot of grey carpet. So the decor became the architecture instead of decorating it. A chrome tunnel runs the length of the entry hallway in mirror finish silver, which throws the overhead light back at everyone walking under it and turns a corridor into the first thing people talk about.

At the far end, a full height chrome wall takes over a corner the room already had and an oversized foil number sits in front of it. That corner was dead space. It became the spot people queued for.

What went in
  • Chrome entrance tunnel
  • Full height chrome photo wall
  • Oversized foil number
  • Mirror finish latex throughout

Milestone birthdays, two separate jobs

Big numbers, opposite moods.

Signature SetupsNavy and gold, then rust and stone

The first was a fortieth in a room with pale walls and not much else going on, which is the easiest kind of room to work with. A navy circle panel anchors one side and the garland climbs off it in navy, gold and cream, with foil stars breaking the outline so it does not read as a tidy half moon. Four foot marquee numbers sit lit on the floor in front, because a fortieth should be legible from the doorway.

The second is the same tier in a completely different key. Autumn palettes are harder than they look: go too orange and it turns into Halloween. This one holds because the copper and rust are outnumbered, sitting in a garland that is mostly cream and stone, and because the chrome accents pick up the warm light already in the room instead of fighting it. The wood grain wall is a rental, which is what keeps a build at this scale inside the tier rather than pushing it into a custom quote.

What went in, on each job

The navy fortieth

  • Navy circle backdrop panel
  • Light up 40 marquee numbers
  • Happy Birthday neon
  • Foil star accents
  • Cake plinth

The autumn birthday

  • Wood grain wall rental
  • Happy Birthday neon
  • Copper and rust chrome accents
  • Cake plinth

Separate jobs for separate clients, shown together because they are the same tier. One price never covered both.

Graduation, two separate jobs

Class of 2026, in the backyard or the front hall.

Custom Event Design, or Grab & Go ColumnsTeal, purple and chrome

Grad season in Brandon happens outdoors, in June, in whatever weather turns up. The backyard install is made for that. A custom painted wood arch carries the name in vinyl, framed by a teal, purple and cream organic garland with chrome star bursts, and a walk-through arch runs the length of the party area with the year in foil overhead and chrome bursts at the shoulders. Everything is weighted so it holds through a prairie afternoon.

The black and gold columns were a different family and a different job entirely. Same season, same idea, a fraction of the scale: school colours, built here, collected the morning of, and they photograph as well in a front hall as anything built on site.

What went in, on each job

The backyard install

  • Custom painted wood arch backdrop with personalized vinyl and organic balloon garland
  • 24 ft walk-through balloon arch with foil year and star accents
  • 12 coordinating balloon topiary bundles throughout the party area
  • Delivery, professional setup and secure installation

The pickup job

  • Freestanding year numbers
  • Pickup balloon columns in your choice of colours

Separate jobs for separate clients, shown together because they are the same tier. One price never covered both.

Baby showers, two separate jobs

Two showers, two completely different rooms.

Party SetupsEspresso and cream, then peach and sage

One moved outdoors: OH BABY in four foot marquee letters, with a garland in peach, sky and sage threaded along the top and down both sides, and the cake on a gold plinth in front of it. Everything weighted, because a lawn gives you nothing to fix to.

The other was coffee themed, so the palette went to espresso, caramel and cream instead of the pastels everyone expects from a shower. Two arched panels at different heights give the plinth somewhere to sit, and one garland runs across both so they read as a single piece rather than two props standing near each other.

What went in, on each job

The outdoor shower

  • OH BABY marquee letters
  • Peach, sky and sage organic garland
  • Cake plinth
  • Outdoor weighting throughout

The coffee themed shower

  • Twin arched backdrop panels at different heights
  • One garland running across both panels
  • Cake and gift plinth

Separate jobs for separate clients, shown together because they are the same tier. One price never covered both.

Kids' birthdays, several builds

The character is the whole point, so it has to be right.

Grab & Go Columns & StacksTaken from the character

Children do not care about colour theory. They care that it is the actual caterpillar, the actual rescue pups, the actual princess. So the licensed piece goes in first and everything else is built to flatter it: a fruit coloured cluster under the caterpillar, a name sign in the show's own lettering above the pups, rose gold and lilac chrome under Rapunzel.

The silver eight is the same thinking at the smallest scale. One oversized number, one character on top, a base of hand twisted balloon flowers in the colours the character already wears, and a name across the front. It fits in a back seat and it still carries a whole birthday.

What went in
  • Licensed character and mylar balloons
  • Custom name signage and personalization
  • Hand twisted balloon flowers
  • Palette matched to the character, not the other way round

Grab & Go Backdrops

A whole birthday moment, in the back of an SUV.

Grab & Go BackdropsWhatever the birthday calls for

Not every celebration needs me in the room. A Grab & Go backdrop is the focal point of a party, built and finished here, ready for you to collect, carry in and stand up yourself. No install window to work around, no access to arrange with a venue, no waiting in on the morning of.

It is still made for one child and one birthday. The pink arch was built around a first birthday in soft pastels, with the name in vinyl and hand twisted balloon flowers worked through the garland. The blue and gold one says One-derful and Blessed across the panel, in the family's own colours. Both fit in the back of an SUV, and both were standing in under ten minutes at the other end.

What went in
  • One backdrop panel with an organic balloon garland
  • Personalised vinyl lettering
  • Hand twisted accents, flowers or foil
  • Built and finished here, collected by you
  • Stands up in minutes, no tools
